Power of Presence Mini Course
Day 2.
Body presence
Today’s Core Idea
Presence is physical.
Your body speaks before your voice does.
1. Your Body Reveals
Your Inner State
I see it often in workshops and coachings.
People start presenting
and they make themselves smaller.
Shoulders collapse.
Arms stick to the body.
The chest closes.
Almost as if they are apologising
for taking up space.
But you cannot communicate confidence
if your body signals discomfort.
Your body always speaks first.
2. Free Your Armpits
Create a little space
between your upper arms and your torso.
That small physical shift:
• Opens your chest
• Deepens your breath
• Makes your voice rounder
• Expands your presence
You are no longer shrinking.
You are available.
3. Claim Your Space
also online
When you open your body,
you send one message:
“I am here because I have something important to say.”
This works in meetings.
It works on stage.
And it works online.
Stand up.
Open your chest.
Look into the camera.
Take space.
Today’s Exercise
In your next conversation or meeting:
Stand up if possible.
Free your armpits.
Open your chest.
Speak from that position.
That’s it.
Small shift. Big difference.
Reflection
After your next conversation, ask yourself:
• Did I feel more grounded?
• Did my voice sound fuller?
• Did I feel less like I was apologising?
• Did others listen differently?
Presence grows through repetition.
Tomorrow:
We give your message structure.
So people can follow your thinking clearly.
