Story To Present
Power of Presence
Theatre-made communication training
Communication is not about being impressive.
It’s about expressing what matters.
Staying connected to your message.
Staying connected to your audience.
And having the strength to take up space when it counts.
That is what I call the
Power of Presence.
My ApproachI don’t teach presentation tips.
I train communication behaviour.
Because communication is not a talent.
It is not a personality trait.
It is trained behaviour.
And behaviour changes through rehearsal.
At Story to Present, we work the way actors rehearse:
We practise.
We adjust.
We repeat.
We refine.
Not in theory.
In action.
Where This Comes FromI trained and worked as a theatre director.
In theatre, presence is not performance.
It is aliveness.
An actor is alive when they are:
In the moment
Connected to intention
Responsive to the room
Clear about what they want
I bring that rehearsal logic into business communication.
Not as art.
As training.
What We TrainPower of Presence is built across six practice fields:
1. Meaning
Why does this matter?
If your message is not connected to purpose, it won’t land.
2. Story & Imagination
Ideas become tangible through concrete examples and images.
3. Structure
Clear structure reduces fear and increases impact.
4. The Physical Instrument
Body, voice, breath, gestures — you are your instrument.
5. Visual Discipline
Slides support your message. They don’t replace you.
6. High-Pressure Preparation
Important moments are rehearsed, not improvised.
In longer programmes, we move through these step by step.
In workshops and coaching, we focus on what the situation needs most.
Active Suggestions Instead of “Don’ts”Most professionals walk into presentations with a mental list of prohibitions:
Don’t be awkward.
Don’t forget your text.
Don’t be too much.
This creates tension.
I work with active suggestions.
Instead of saying what to avoid, we define what to do.
Not: “Don’t rush.”
But: “Pause after your key sentence.”
Not: “Don’t hide.”
But: “Stand beside the slide and hold eye contact.”
These suggestions are personal.
We develop them together.
And they stick.
That’s why participants don’t just feel inspired.
They leave with concrete behavioural anchors they can apply immediately.
Safe. And Demanding.Growth does not happen in threat mode.
So I create a space where people can experiment.
Try.
Fail.
Try again.
But safety is not comfort.
If I see potential, I won’t let you settle below it.
Participants often describe the experience as:
“Tense in a good way.”
“Exhausting and rewarding.”
That’s rehearsal.
That’s training.
That’s growth.
For Professionals Who Care About ImpactI work with founders, leaders, experts and teams who want more than polished slides.
They want:
Clarity in high-stakes moments
Stronger connection in meetings
Purpose-driven communication
Presence without performance
Not louder.
Stronger.
